ident celebrates variation within constraint—a quiet play between repetition, craftsmanship, and subtle human influence.
In mouth-blown glass production, it is common for each glass shape to require its own dedicated mould. ident, developed for the Viennese glassware manufacturer Lobmeyr, takes a different approach. All five glasses in the series are blown into the same wooden mould. However, by cutting the glass body at different heights along the same rotational form, five distinct silhouettes emerge—each based on the same origin, yet individually defined.
The stems are then added freely by hand, adjusted in length so that all glasses reach the same total height. A short stem for a water glass, a longer one for an aperitif—each proportion is carefully balanced.
The result is a family of five glasses that share a common structure, yet vary in character and use. Whether chosen for wine, water, aperitif or beer, each glass reflects personal preference—together, they form a table setting that feels intentionally composed.
